Day 4: Monday Fun-Day

Today is the halfway mark for the 2023 Texas Slam. You're all rocking it ... and hopefully staying cool while you're at it. Keep it going and finish strong!

Every day is a good day to watch more doubles, especially today. Monday features doubles quarterfinals in all divisions and largely the seeded teams have remained in contention. This means we're in for some exciting and close competition ... and the potential for some upsets too. Here's an overview of how the doubles draws look going in to Monday's matches:

Boys 12s Doubles: The top-5 seeded teams remain.

Boys 14s Doubles: The top-7 seeded teams remain.

Boys 16s Doubles: Neither of the top-2 seeded teams remain in contention.

Boys 18s Doubles: One unseeded team remains, they defeated the 7-seeded team in R16.

Girls 12s Doubles: The top-5 seeds and the #8 seeded team remain.

Girls 14s Doubles: All eight seeds are still in contention.

Girls 16s Doubles: All but one of the top-8 seeds remain.

Girls 18s Doubles: The top-6 seeded teams remain.

Mainly sunny. Hot. High near 100F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph.

Wear LOTS of sunscreen and drink LOTS of water. Seriously.

While you were playing tennis this weekend at the Slam, the French Open concluded with several noteworthy outcomes. Sure, Iga Świątek continued her dominance in women's singles and Novak Djokovic definitively raced to the top of the all-time grand-slam titles with his win, but you may have also noticed a familiar face on the podium: Dallas resident and former Texas A&M Player, Austin Krajicek won the Men's Doubles Championship and with it reached the ranking of #1 in the world in men's doubles. WOW. Read about Austin's love of Texas and his go-to barbeque order in the latest issue of Inside Tennis magazine.

Go out there and have fun and be excellent to each other!
